You consistently post very bacterial tubs with some defiant addendum of, "And somehow I got fruits!" as if the people telling you the jars were fucked were wrong. And I've seen you consistently reject helpful advice because "you're a scientist" and you do things your own way. Cool, sincerely. Do your own thing. I'm just trying to drive home the point that you fucking around with bad spawn now can have pretty serious consequences down the line.

So far it has shows that I was about to throw out 900g fresh mushrooms from 2 qt jars of bacterial WBS. And pretty glad that I decided to spawn those jars.
This is what I mean. Nobody has ever implied bacterial jars can't produce anything. Yet I've seen you repeatedly mention this as if it's a source of pride or something. Like everyone else is a dumbass because they thought your bacterial jars were worthless. I just think you're failing to see the forest through the trees, but whatever.
Best of luck with everything. I'll help whenever I can. I hope you don't think I was being rude or attacking you. Learn everything you can. I started off with slurries and LIs while I still had BRF cakes fruiting on my first go, long before I did A2G. I went 23/24 on my initial cake run and tossed still fruiting cakes to make room for monos. I'm definitely not opposed to learning everything you can, I assure you. Just don't shit where you eat.

Been out the game for years but I used to do this with multiple small tubs.Works great...if you do happen to get a contamination its somewhat isolated to that tub. Plus a continues supply of fresh mushies. I always used 1 inch holes stuffed with polyfill to keep fea up as I'm not always able to be home and fan.

Edit : 1 qt spawn 2 qt sub. Shorter and thinner mushies than usual. Still nice pinsets tho

Do you know the water content of the shorties or was it just standard bucketed 4qts water?

I buy my coir bricks in 5kg sections. So I just break off and add water till I have enough to fill my tub.
I don't have a nice bucket for bucket tek so I pressure cook my coir for 20min in a pillow casing then I squeeze out all the excess water with my hand before adding to the substrate. Do you think squeezing out all you can with your hands leaves too little water behind in the coir? So far it has worked well but I was wondering how wet your coir is after creating your mix?

LOL.. last time she ate shrooms she rolled around in a blanket on the bed saying she felt like a burrito and giggling for two hours. That was like 1.5 grams too
I broke my first monotub sub in half but it still fruited strong on the second flush

Well I decided to make 2 more shoeboxes today.

These are the shoeboxes I did yesterday so just barely 24 hours in.

I used brf cakes on all shoeboxes.

Yup i'm trying to move to grains waiting for my agar to finish but the cakes seem to work fine so far. I sure didn't expect that much growth in only one day. I to cannot wait for the fruit I am highly excited about this project.

@ Mushboy - I have used coir as well as peat to make cakes. Just about anything that will retain moisture but not compact to bad will work. Hell I have even mixed in shredded straw, which for some reason seems to have helped increase size of fruits. NO PROOF, just appears that way so far.
