I only get side pins after the first flush when my sub shrinks and I bottom water and then the microclimate puts out shit tons of pins all over my sub.
Usually what I do is I bottom water, then flip the sub, if i'm getting a shit ton of side pins starting and my top layer is shit. That was the case with my chitwan runs and my ecuador runs.
I have a different strain that I don't know what it is, but it had like 8 side pins from 4 tubs after 3+ flushes.
Seems to me its the bottom watering that makes it really hard for me to erase that perfect microclimate that is made for side pins.
While i'm here i might as well post my cult pic of the day pics which are shoebox's !
Super stoked for these too.. These are a clone from the mystery strain that had best yield first flush compared to every other tub I did.

Got 7 jars of an ecuador clone that had great potency it seemed that im stoked for too, fully colonized and just wanting for me to quit being lazy and spawn.

I tossed a sub from a box and there was a bunch of shit in the bottom of the shoebox still so I thought it would be a good idea to smack the box off my brick patio to knock it out, shattered the box
I was like Eh whatever, I have more boxes than lids now I don't have to fuckin clean it at least.
Like flush 3, still pushed out a few big ones

Has any one tried to or had any success by mixing their spawn / coir with a food processor?

That would likely result in completely destroying your spawn.

Ive read posts about pouring slurry directly into coir, so it would make sense that someone has probably tried a food processor to mix the coir and spawn.

OK Details
-LGT clone -Temp is about 66f right now. -Clone came from a shoebox that was harvested on day10 from spawn. Temp at that time was pushing mid 70's. -These were spawned on 12/2, now the 9th day. -2qt spawn to each. -no true casing, just a top layer of CVG -Spawn was HEAVILY inoculated by my 1st attempt at pouring LC, I managed to use almost 300ml on 10 jars,
