Just started my first four shoeboxes. Going to be real hard waiting 10-14 days to share results

I had one shoebox that had just finished colonizing that my cat knocked over a few weeks ago.
It was in many many pieces and dry as fuck; I stuffed it back in the shoebox and soaked it for 30 minutes or so.
I just ended up drying just under an ounce from that same box! I couldn’t believe it gave me a decent yield (1 myco quart of rye spawn 1:2 with bulk sub).
I let it go a Day too long and had a spore-splosion and some ugly side/bottom fruits, but damn that substrate performed considering it was all over my floor for hours at one point...

I was bottom watering one and draining it in the bathtub and dropped it like a dumb fuck. It broke in 4 pieces. I stuffed em back in the box and it finished great. Was pretty surprised what a beating that thing took and still flushed again.

Has anyone done well with fruiting ATL7 or any other vareiety of stone producer in an unmodified shoe box?

Probably would work better than my shitty novelty Christmas Tupperware one.

Cool, I'll give it a shot. Did the caps on yours open up any further?

I plan on making 4 shoe boxes with 6 quarts of spawn, 1:1 ratio. So 1.5 quarts of spawn and 1.5 quarts of bulk per box. Do you guys actually measure your bulk substrate or just eyeball it?

The last 12 box's I did exactly that. 1.5 to 1.5 and yes I measured by eyeballing. The last 6 I did this week were 1:2 ratio. Interested to see what the difference is.

So this box produced about 2 oz on the dot from 2 flushes.
Flush two PE6 m.s. 287 wet.

This one weighed 30 grams wet, the last flush biggest mushroom was 5 grams lol

70 wet I harvested last night.

Mushboy, I'm so stoked I saw this thread. I've never liked the huge monos because of the chance of losing 6 jars. This is sooooooo simple. Big thanks to all you advanced growers here helping the little guy

Works great. Flip lid. Lots of misting.

I've been getting bigger/heavier flushes keeping my boxes covered, but I still get some fuzzy feet on the top surface. I've experimented with leaving them cracked or trying to leave them uncovered when I'm home, but I have better results covered all day. What are busy people doing to adjust FAE and maintain moisture without modifying the shoebox?
Current PR, 23g dry from 2nd flush of wild FL cubes:

I’d recommend a dialed mono or in a gh for better results. They like a lot of FAE and high humidity. If you’re running them in a box, make sure it’s opened often or use a vented humidity dome/dub tub type setup. These were in a mono then opened and moved to a gh:

listen to mycolorado. his tamps look awesome. im working on a small greenhouse just for exotics. still in shoeboxes but they crave humidity and FAE and id imagine most houses ambient conditions make that extremely difficult if you treat them like cubes. lots of misting. like, an insane amount.
obviously i still grew a good amount of them but they pale in comparison. and i couldnt get them to print

I think he's talking about cubes though.

Do you put the humidifier inside the GH? What kind of humidifer do you use? Did you simply cut slits in the GH for FAE? Can you post a picture?
Sorry about the barrage of questions. I'd really like to get some prints off these guys if can convince them to fruit.
