Lol i give them the most crazy off the wall story for why I'm buying a pc 4 dozen jars, 200 shoe box's. I'm a salesman so the regular people in those stores have an iq of about 90. Its not rocket science to outsmart them. Plus you act all excited about your project that the wife's been begging you to do for months. Pfff its easy as fuck, just like bod's teks

Hey everyone, I read through every single page of this thread and want to try my hand at shoeboxes. I will be using 5 qts oat spawn to do two boxes and maybe try one with four or five brf cakes as well. After prepping the boxes, let me see if I have this straight: Leave lids on to allow colonization of sub for several days, then begin misting and possibly introduce more FAE. After a few more days I can expect primordia and pins to follow? Keep substrate properly hydrated with semi frequent misting depending on conditions. Mature fruit to follow 5-10 days later? I guess Iโm just trying to visualize a general timeline of what to expect. Been out of this hobby a long time so any input is much appreciated!

From when you mix up your spawn to bulk substrate your looking at 14-21 days till your harvesting your first flush, give or take.

Lately I've been getting the nosey cashiers that ask all kinds of personal questions! "Why are you buying all these bins??" I have uh, mice problems, have to put some stuff in storage "Shouldn't you be buying mice traps?" Goddamnit I didn't plan for this
You know what to tell them when they ask you that say your kids have millions of legos and they're always getting lost and split up all over the place so you buy tons of the shoe boxes to organize them by size and color works great

lmfao. I paid my friend to buy me a drink in a convenience store because I was having a mental breakdown on my first trip after 5 years of not tripping. I couldn't keep it together and kept thinking how fucked I was about to be because I ate 35 wet grams and kept getting higher by the minute.

Update from my previous post in this thread.
So my first grow didn't get too good of results (some struggles with bacteria and poor surface conditions) but at least I got something. 34 dried grams, to be specific.
1:1 Box
A lovely array of MS genetics. Forgot to take a picture of the entire box before I started harvesting (which was staggered for a few days) but you get the idea. Fourth pic is the Thanksgiving harvest.
1:2 Box
Mostly had smaller mushrooms in the corners. Surprisingly, the dry weight of this box wasn't too much less than the first one.
The third box (1:1 ratio) got hit the hardest by bacteria and pretty much stalled out. Ah...
The mushrooms themselves are at least decently potent. You can read my 3.5g tea trip report for details on that.

I also have some 3-year Cambodian prints to get rid of. DM me if interested

I havent posted in a while, so I thought I'd show off a recent flush:

My conditions are still sub optimal because I dont get even canopies, usually half the sub surface will be fruiting while the other half pushes out 1 or 2 pins. I suspect its because I mist in one direction, maybe distributing the mist unevenly (towards the back)

Wait so I'm confused. Ksss is the mutant or non mutant? This strain was labeled ksss and sold as so online... Cuz there Koh Samui then Koh Samui super strain? Wouldn't they be the mutant or are those like big ones or something? Lol
