I wish I could get my area closer to 70 than 65, but I don't want to buy a space heater right now. I like not wasting the energy on ONLY drying fruits. I am getting 2 uses from one source of energy consumption. The whole 2 birds one stone thing, lol.

Guess you need to grow more so the dehydrator is always running..

Nooooo, I think it just looks that way because the room is rather warm and the mycelium is active. I get that on the inside of grain jars and even pf cakes when they're colonizing.

Read every page of this thread for your answers.
I dont do 'set and forget' style grows. If that lid is off/flipped you get max air exposure but it can dry out hella quick.

But you shouldn't really need to mist it until you are fruiting. Before that it should hold the moisture in well enough to keep conditions right on the surface. At least it works that way in my environment.

My nesco is at least that. I think it's around the 7-800 watts. Things a beast.
It's 500. Can't remember where I read 700 watts.

Ok, so you just mist it when you want it to fruit because i'm currently at that stage and they have not started to fruit probably due to that reason. would it just be easier to leave it in a mini green house with 100 humidity in the green house?

No you don't need a green house. If your surface conditions are off putting them in a green house isn't going to change that. Your leaving out a lot of info. Pics are essential to receive sound info from other growers. Nothing explains what's going on better than pictures.
I start misting once I flip the lids. At first its just a couple light mistings a day till pins come in, then I mist heavier and let the sub dry just a tad then hydrate again, continue doing that till pins are about an inch tall and bottom water from there if needed.

Go back and quote your own post. Im not hunting for pics.
Not to sound like a douche, but..
You mist when it needs it. Thats it. Look up cbks surface conditions thread. Its a learning process. Dont expect to get it right, right away. You will disappoint yourself

I started with 3 shoe boxes on 12 hour light 6500k a week ago

After a week this is what they look like nothing is growing one is green and the other has yellow spots.

The temperature and lighing are fine. Why are they not forming mushrooms?
I started another 10 shoe boxes about 10 day ago and this is how they turned out.

What seems to be my issue why they are getting so destroyed?
ANd still nothing is growing
