Flush 2 from the box, learned a lot for my next one. I'm happy with it though

How mature do you let a mushroom get before cloning some tissue? Should I let these mature for another day or so or take a few now?

Very nice. I think it is very interesting to see the way the substrate shrinks with each subsequent flush, as the substance of the substrate is drawn into the mushrooms.

Cool thanks, guess I was wondering about the light. I think I want to try. I'll try to find a clear bag.

I didn't know that. It makes a difference cloning before vs after mature ..?

Finally starting to see faster growth. I have my lids on but flipped upside down and they seem to be consuming a shit load of water. Can't imagine having no lid and being able to keep them hydrated.

The tub with all the bottom pins just drinks what ever I throw at it.

Looking good
You put yours on perlite eh? I just threw mine in the sgfc with no perlite.
I think I may have fucked these ones a bit too much by not keeping them properly moisturized during initial fruiting and/or lack of attention.
My last set of shoeboxes I had line up on a table, setting out in open air in a room. Was easy to monitor and mist as needed. This batch I kinda stacked inside a smaller space and made it harder to give constant attention to, plus I was trying out the no-mist approach.
I guess these lil guys I'm currently working with like their attention and regular misting.

Yeah, I thought you had yours in a sgfc with perlite too. I put a piece of foil under so I could get some water under it to suck up. It just chugs the shit.
I thought the tub was a complete waste cause it wasn't pinning until I picked it up and saw all those pins.
I can thank you for that:D as soon as I read your post about your side and bottom pins I picked it up to take a look lol. So thanks
I habe 10 box's in a small room all over the place. So I'm trying to make sure I don't miss any while watering and inspecting. I guess that's a good problem.

Haven't taken any pics yet. These couple weeks right now are super busy for me with a lot of stuff going on, so time has been limited which is why I was tempted to try an approach requiring less attention... guess I should have prob just done monotubs instead for these, but the shoeboxes were already colonizing and I was curious about the necessity of misting

I did a couple straw tubs that did ok. Its been over 5 years so I don't remember real well but I know there was way less misting and maintenance.
I'm usually always around and when I'm not the wife mists them so I figured shoe box's would be good for when one had a problem and you only lose a quart of spawn instead of 6.
