I like to dubtub as soon as I see pins if I know that culture will produce fruits that will grow higher than the lid, otherwise they get spindly or grow sideways n shit ime

I think the shrooms gotta have some sorta photoreceptors cuz they definitely grow different with the lid on opposed to having more space without the lid

here's some pe6 shoeboxes. some were cased some were not. Next time will be better. I'll be putting the grocery bags over them right away which I think will make them perform way better than they had with the lid on until the pins were touching the lid.

Bod, I recently made 2 mini monos one cased with coir and one uncased. The uncased one tolerates very little misting before it pools on the surface, but the cased one seems to drink up everything in no time and seems like I can keep misting all day if I want to. It's easy to see when an uncased surface starts drying out, that's when I mist. But what indicators are there for when a cased substrate needs misting?

yeah, cased with 50/50+, sub was C/V/G/HP.  I believe I cased at spawn if I remember right.  I just mixed them up and put them in the mono with the individual lids on.  When fruiting time came I took the lids off and cracked the lid on the larger mono

very nice.

So you pasteurize the 50/50+ right?
I'm trying to find a casing for pe that preforms well and can be sterilized instead of needing to be pasteurized.

I know, I know, sorry so off topic, but this is the last question.

I usually do. This time im not. Ive been keeping up with misting a lot more than usual.
The entire substrate is pinning from the sides to the bottom to the top. Ive never minded extra fruits.

my shoebox with clean spawn and substrate has not produced what I had expected. Still great but total out of 2 flushes I'm at about 30g. - good genetics but 1:2 ratio

Heres pics of each flush, are they average?

They shrunk SO much, i mean skinniest dry mush ive ever seen.

Id like to get an oz from one flush and then just pitch it.  I got plenty of spawn and don't have room for 100 shoe box's.  I'm hoping a couple clones will make those numbers possible.

For multi spore I guess that's pretty good.  And look how many mushrooms you got to make that zip.  Its not tons, so they must have a little meat to them.
