I don't put them in monos thou. I either just leave the lids on or dub them.

and in my experience, they didnt do well when i modded them for poly holes. too much fae and they dried out. straight unmodded dubs worked the best when the space was needed. fruits like APE i just leave the lid on. no need for dubbing. they get plenty of FAE either way.

yes.
what is there to search? look at that picture. you simply place a 2nd tub on top. thats it. no tape. no holes. put a 2nd tub on top. end of story

i was talking about shoeboxes, not bottles. one has substantially more surface area than the other.

This fucking thread has me laughing my ass off 4ight now!
Yes its ESS. My shoeboxes get more FAE than any other FC ive ever used, to the point that they required daily misting to stay hydrated.
Kenetic, i like you but have no fookin clue why you would think what i posted was essentially a different tek. Its not. Its the exact same thing OP did. I posted my results as verification that this tek kicks ass. And ur lucky im on mobile or i would be pasting some savage wrestling gif

you can always start your own journal as well. it doesnt have to be on the forum boards. the nice part is you are essentially the mod of your journal and can give ppl the boot if you feel so inclined. active journals are visible here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/journal.php so dont think nobody will see it

I honestly did 1 quart of spawn and 1 quart of substrate for the past year. a few weeks ago I switched to 1.5 quarts of spawn and 1.5 quarts of substrate. its pretty dry where i live and I was having to mist my 1 quart tubs pretty frequently. by using more material, they hold moisture better and dont dry out so fast. how fast they dry out depends on where you live (i live in a very arid desert like place) so you might not have the that problem. substrate depths are a matter of preference and your local conditions, so just do some tubs and find what works for you. itll take a few series to get it dialed in, but if you do between 1-2 quarts it wont be hard to find the sweet spot for you.
