This was from a different discussin but I thought it deserved its own thread.

I thought you liberals hated christianity's lies
My religion is the belief that Entheogens are Teonanacatl - the true "Flesh of God" -- i.e. - the true God.
You're not going to find many "liberals" who believe that - or progressives either.
But why do you think that liberals aren't into christianity? It's the republicans who aren't into christianity.
What republican do you know who thinks "if someone strikes you on the cheek - turn the other cheek"? What republican do you know who cares about the poor?
Christ would be called a liberal today.

Jesus was the furthest removed from the antisocial movement that hijacked the originally decent republican party.
Any Christian supporting them needs to check his bible.
Jesus was all about being social, warm and about Change.
He wouldn't be a modern day Democrat either, nor a Libertarian.
Definitely Third Party, the Love Party.

I think we as a society should strive to keep Bronze Age fables out of politics.
But yes, the GOP is certainly not a "godly" party.

I should have said that liberals are more into Christianity than republicans. But no political party would accept where Christ was really at.
In fact, even the disciples of John the Baptist rejected him.
The real Light, [Entheogens] which enlightens every person, was coming then into the world . They entered the world - the world which existed through Them, yet the world did not recognize Them; They came to what was Their own, [the disciples of John the Baptist] yet Their own folk did not welcome Them. On those who have accepted Them, however, They have conferred the right of being children of God, that is, on those who believe in Their Name, [Entheogens] who owe this birth of theirs to God, not to human blood, nor to any impulse of the flesh or of humans. – St. John, 1, 9

ENTHEOGENS show you the light in an age of Darkness, when holy books seem outdated and the forces of politics seem against us.

hmm you must not have heard about the inauguration protests. they were pretty bad. anyways Jesus was totally apolitical. his followers were super pumped cus they thought he was going to head a revolution against the establishment as a political savior cus that's how they interpreted the OT prophecies but that wasn't Jesus' intention at all.

Religion isn't a matter of republican or liberals. It's plain stupid.
The thing is, the extremem republicans are religious nut, they are the SJWs of the right. Both sides have a fair share of morons. 50% of the population is stupid, both sides sides can't avoid having a high percentage of idiocy in them

The problem is people get stuck in patterns. Trends take over.
