Are there examples of mycologists describing new species only to find later it is already described * 1

Let me clarify. Because mushrooms sometimes difficult to identify are there any cases where two different species of mushrooms have been described only to find out later(maybe with DNA testing) that they are the same mushroom. Alternatively, maybe someone though that a species was all one, only two find out later with better research that the species is actually not one species but several species that were accidentally clumped together?
