Fruiting oysters in open air, will there be enough humidity?
    #24033210 - 01/23/17 01:11 PM (7 years, 7 days ago)

For the second flush of a few buckets of blue oysters I dunked and stacked the mycelial masses of straw and put them in a monotub on its side with the lid off. I noticed mass, stretched pins on the back so I removed it from the tub to allow adequate light and air for the pins. Seems like my only option at this point is spraying around it and fanning lightly to promote evaporation. Any additional advice at this point?

Yeah, definitely expecting some aborts with the number of pins coming up

Depends on where you are. When I was in Hawaii, it worked fine. But the humidity was already fairly high. If you have high humidity then you should be good. If youre in the desert...probably not so much.
