Hey everyone, I hope everybody is doing good. I started my first grow last week and I'm starting to see what looks to be growth (compared to colonization pics I've seen on here) but I just want to make sure with the experts around here.

Thanks for the help.

I'm no expert but yup, that is definately growth and most likely cubensis mycelium growth

Here's an update on that same jar. It's going kind of slow though. I'm guessing because the temperature hasnt been at a constant(80F). The other 7 jars I knocked up didnt show anything, I may have overshot them which could've thrown off the moisure content. So I did 8 more jars today and was careful not to shoot too much spores, so we'll see how it goes.

Yep, still no bacteria in sight so that's good. Unfortunately, I forgot to label what that jar is. It's either Puerto Rico or Golden Teacher strain. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Looking good man!

Don't worry about the temperature fluctuations...  Room temperature is the only incubation you need...

You can shake the jars immediately after inoculating to spread out the spores and get more simultaneous germination points, and then shake again when it's 30-40% colonized to help the last little bit go faster. Good luck!!

Yeah don't do this, I'm an idiot and didn't realize it was brf.

Don't do this. it only applies to grain jars.
