kenetic said: I think the full site works great on most phones. I go through a lot of phones and have tested it out. A mobile site does seem interesting though.
I'm also glad to see such a strong emphasis on using agar in the cult forum. I feel this is the way to go and it should be a priority in the wiktionary
I concur on the importance of stressing that people develop agar skills.
Agar or platework is of crucial importance.
What do you do with a wild print? Agar to purify!
Many people cannot receive a spore syringe in the mail to start out. A sporeprint in the mail slips through as a regular letter, completely undetected. It helps getting spores out with maximum stealth, minimum cost and maximum penetration because anywhere in the world where you can receive a letter you can receive a sporeprint.
Also, you can get spores from a portion of mushrooms you buy and still trip on the portion. But, you need to purify.. on agar or another plate work where you zone out the impurities.
How do you develop a strain? Agar work!
What is easiest to do for a hunter or inexperienced grower? Just take asterile sporeprints, literally put dozens of caps on sheets of printer paper and you have dozens of prints, prints which from hunted species are endowed with completely fresh genetics which will enrich the genetivs of the cultivated and commercial species. The hunter or inexperienced grower simply fills sheets with caps, sends the printed sheets in the mail, diastributing them and more experienced growers work out the contams and inferior genetics with.. agar work!
You could literally get a good pure contam free strain off a sporeprint scraping taken from the worst toilet in scotland
Agar! Agar! Agar!
Crucial to the mushroom revolution. Agar will start up people all over the world who cannot have a syringe sent to them, and enables people unable or unwiling to work sterilely to collect and distribute tons of prints, distributing sheets of prints at the price of a stamp and an envelope.
Agar and Agar accessories!

agar is literally the most important part of being a cultivator rather than a drug grower.

I started out Psilocybe cubensis at a time just about nobody had heard of it.
I'm talking umm.. I think it was 1991 or so, I ordered a mushroom growing book and a sporeprint from a counterculture mail order in the US, delivered to holland.
I bought agar sticks at an Asian store, dextrose and yeast at the health food store and made PDY Agar (potato steep water, dextrose, yeast, agar) and poured it in disposable dishes, then did the heated loop thing.
High success rate, then to pressure cooked millet grain in jars.. I tried to get it to fruit but the project died.
2 years later, in 1993, I had my first mushroom experience, hunted Psilocybe semilanceata that I had bought in Amsterdam.
The rest is history.
I literally got online to visit the Shroomery, in 2000, and http://www.shroomery.org/ was the first URL I ever typed, the first page I visited on my first online computer.
Agar is the No.1 technique.

I agree a Wikipedia style wiki where anyone can edit but only TCs can approve the change would be incredible. Even square one noobs can fix formatting or spelling.
Any updates to the main site would be awesome though.

I'm just getting back on the site from a long hiatus. I feel like a collection of links from people's signatures would do the trick.
We've been trying to teach the masses with every post!

I think its awesome!
But a background image of mycelium on agar overlayed on a spore print would be cool.

Just found a user using this outdated tek in a thread: https://www.shroomery.org/59/Mini-terrarium-casing-tek
Definitely needs a disclaimer on it somewhere.

It's in the archives if someone's browsing the stuff we wrote is old and dated idk what we can do to help lol
Working on the sections that don't have the up to date tag, they're just placeholders.
