Incubation - Room temperature at 58F / 14.4C any good? # and others questions

Dear all,
This is my first post and tonight I just inoculated my first 10 jars.
I have read that incubators are not necessary as room temperature is fine for incubation, however room temperature at my place in around 58F / 14,4C. Is it enough for incubation? From what I have read anywhere around mid 70sF to 80F is good since the jars themselves produce heat.
I decided to keep my jars in a incubator, a sealed plastic box (not 100%) with a small plastic container filled with water and a 25W aquarium heater in there to heat the ambient inside the whole box. I hope to reach at least mid 70s.
Should I transfer them outside or is it better to keep them in the incubator? Remember, 58F room temperature... In the meanwhile I removed the aluminium foil since I have the jars in a partially sealed box. Was it stupid of me? My logic: Gas exchange...
If you agree that an incubator is the way to go, than should I heat the incubator this way? I prefered to have a separated plastic container filled with water to avoid a moist environment around the jars, can't explain way, intuition I guess...
Other subject, I will be fruiting in a Poors Man Pod. I think this method is more appropriated than shotgun for me because I don't have time, neither the disciple to mist and fan all the time. I have read that PMP has a major con as the gas exchange with this method is not the best, so I'm planning to put a timer in the air pump. Every hour the pump bubble for 15min and then stop, I guess this will be the equivalent of misting, then when it stops it allows the gas exchange that naturally happens in the shotgun method, difference here that I will be using hidroton instead of perlite. Any flaws in my theory?
I know all this topics have been discussed before but never read about incubation low temperatures as I have, neither timers in the air pump when doing PMP.
Thanks for your time.

Hey if its hitting the right temperatures, the incubator should be fine. Is there no way for u to get the room up to an average room temperature?

I wished. Where I live energy is really expensive, can't affoard having a heater turned on all the time.
By the way, by "room temperature" what do you mean? The range of what can be considered room temperature is too vast, need to be more specific. In others words, what's the minimum room temperature that is acceptable to have the jars outside incubating?

68-74f is a nice range to stay in.
Use a space heater to heat the room, ditch the incubator

I removed the aluminium after inoculation. If I move the jars outside the incubator should I put new aluminium foil caps over the lids?

Room temperature is always 68-72F
Incubators are a huge reason for noob failure
The poor man's pod is a pile of shit. Build a sgfc it's less maintenance more automated and better results

Why do you say sgfc is more automated? From what I have read in this forum it is necessary to mist and fan a few times per day, if so, it's not automated. Do you confirm this?

Well if you don't take shits at home or brush your teeth I can see how that would be too much work. If it is indeed too much work ill tell you now give up growing mushrooms.
Its no more maintenance than using a light switch. You can leave the thing completely alone for a few days even.
A pmp needs the reservoir filled. The contaminated cakes removed, the constant adjustments just to get a half assed harvest.
Be my guest but a pmp is a pile of dog shit

Ok I got it. (By the way, I take a shit once per day) I will KISS by now following the well proven-to-work method as you suggest. In the meanwhile I moved my jars to the pantry where temps are around 66F/19C.
Still, I will buy a second plastic box to give it a try on PMP and tweak a bit.
I found this thread that might be of some help for those starting like me: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/15223324/fpart/1/vc/1
