winter, hardwood

Habitat:Found growing on dead/dying hardwood (bigleaf maple, picture) in PNW today (winter)


Gills:
Light gills, attached (I think)

Stem:
3" long, yellowish near cap and darker below

Cap:
2.5" diameter, light caramelly color, wet texture

Spore print color:
Very light / hard to see

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

I was some of those too. Growing really close to oyster was growing directly out of poplar in my case. I told my Grandma it was a Hypholoma and don't eat it anyone else kno waht it really is?

How long did you print them for, did you print them on white paper? If so you should use foil or black paper in addition to white. What is going on with the top of the cap of the mushroom pictured twice on the right hand side. It looks like a foamy growth in it or something.
It is probably Flammulina velutipes, better pictures would help me be sure if so it has been parasitized by something which I am not familiar with.

The spores are white.  I left the caps on dark cardboard over night.  The growth is like a wart sort of thing, dried up now.  This photo might be higher res but the wart thing isn't in great focus.
