In this episode, he thought kambo was a hallucinogen. He also attempted to brew ayahuasca with datura and scopolamine, thinking this was the correct plant, even though the locals were attempting to stop him.
Really? The dude is a pharmacologist you'd think he'd be a little more intellect than that...

I absolutely love Hamilton's Pharmacopeia! My favorite episode so far is the Toad Venom/5-MeO-DMT episode. There's a preview for an episode about Amanita muscaria, but can't seem to find the episode

It's pretty hard to watch them even though the subject matter is cool.

I don't mind him but he seems a little bit out there, I suppose it'd be better if there was someone a bit more enthusiastic about what there supposed to be doing, I guess, IDK.

like what did you expect most people educated to THAT level in chemistry are not big tough entertaining guys. He knows his shit, he publishes scientific papers. I dont know why people hate him so much. I find him very entertaining and knowledgeable.

They need to put a test dummie on there!! But a test dummie thats good at trip reports who is also a cultivator with a passion for growing.
One for chems n explaining that and a guy to go hard on some shit to get the full picture to tell us and the misinformed world accurately what drug/combo/cocktail does what and can explain cult and life cycles, ecology of active organisms. Nature shows are the shit so throw a dash of that.

It's a great show and he suits the role. It just irks me that there are many people capable of running the show (people in Chemistry and Pharmacology plus more on r/drugnerds) but they didn't grow up in a well-connected family, so no tv show for them.

Because if you're educated about psychopharmacology, pharmacology, chemistry, pharmacokinetics, etc.. he will appear to be a tard.

I just watched mushroom episode and I agree that they should have found a better host.
Hamilton seems to be disinterested and boring to me.
I was laughing at the part with Rockefeller when they were looking at Psilocybe zapotecorum.
Hamilton said “I never seen them in nature before, it's truly a glorious thing to behold”.
How he said it and the look on his face
That being said, I enjoyed watching it and I'm going to watch the rest of the episodes.
Thanks for sharing.

The mushroom episode is what really turned me off too, how he laid the mushrooms out all around him like that for the camera to seem cool? And he didn't even take a real dose, the shaman gave him some medicine and he just made made some spore prints and sent it to some random dudes in a lab.
His outfit was annoying too.
