First tobacco crop, not bad :)

Last season I grew:

Perique
Virginia Bright Leaf
One Sucker

All of them grew very well, took exceptionally well to transplanting, and were beautiful plants some of which are still in the garden.  Im thinking of doing some chewing tobacco this season, any recommendations on a good chew variety?

Definitely the most hornworm prone plant in the garden.

I have no experience but perhaps rustica. Potent species that I hear is unpleasant to smoke, maybe it would be best chewed.

My recommendation is that most of the nicotine is lost, when smoke is exhaled.

Teas and edible products are somewhat risky, assuming that you swallow some.

So, a mild variety, cured for more mildness, would be safest.

In the wrong conditions, rustica will cause overdose, just from touching it.

Ideally, in this day and age, people should be able to listen to what you have done, and provide the correct medical treatment.

But, it doesn't happen that way, in real life.

Proceed carefully.
