Okay I got the oster blender and blender attachment. I wanna get a mason jar that will fit it. I should get a 1.5 pint (24oz) mason jar?

it doesnt matter what size it is. it just needs to be a regular mouth.

i prefer spaghetti sauce jars for LI, like the one shown in this pic (yea its grains i just dont have a pic with LI in one handy)
they are skinny and easier to hold in the SAB than quart jars

how do you get away with that? how long can you let them sit before inoculation without a filter?

the lids are loosened for ge. i dont let them sit so idk. they get nocced when they are cool to the touch.

I would imagine that's the only way to succeed without a filter. do you only use single piece lids?

My band was probably warped. But it was a pain. It contammed  the only times I used it.  Much less problems with the new method.
