Do you guys save grain soaking liquid?
    #24029763 - 01/22/17 07:03 AM (7 years, 8 days ago)

Hey guys,

I head somewhere before that it is handy to save the run-off from grain soaks to use in your next soak, as it can add extra nutrients to the simmer.

This seems to result in darker grains, also a result of trace amounts of coffee in the liquid if I have soaked for, say stones.
My cubies, however seem not to do as well in the nutrient-rich grain environment and the mycelium seems to be not quite so aggressive and slower to colonise?

Do you guys save soak fluid or do you toss it out at the end of each soak?

Cheers

I save but not for resoaking more grains.. theres never been a need. Instead the grain soak water is like free nutrients you can use for agar or LC.
