First time grow log

New to the site, new to growing and having a blast exploring.
To begin, thank you to so many of you as I have read and read all about the various teks, successes and failures viewed countless photos of your grows etc. Hoping your advice will help my grow be a positive experience. Already I am finding the fun in the mycology (having a hard time not peeking at their progress every few hours). Cheers to an interesting ride!
January 1, 2017, I received the first 5 spore prints in the mail (they don't ship syringes to my country) and that day inoculated 24 jars with Panaeolus, Mazatec, B+ , Brazil, Malabar. (21 of them are looking good and 6-8 jars nearly 100% colonized) In addition, after realizing Panaeolus wouldn't colonize on BRF, I created 6 quarts of Rye and inoculated them with Panaeolus Bisporus and have just set them aside 2 days ago to begin colonization. I re-inoculated the 5 jars that previously had the Panaeolus strain with Mazatec.
My plan is to do the initial cakes on Perlite, (feeling like they will rotate through my shotgun tub, and then create a mono-tub for the Panaeolus. Pics are from the process... jars are from today. Would love any advice and will try to keep this up to date.

you have a pc. why go pf? oops you said rye.. ermm why such tiny jars?
never flame inside a SAB. you can catch on fire. never re-inoculate a jar.
props for using a SAB.
i hope you cam was on a tripod or something. otherwise check out the 'kill the camera guy' thread. and either your hand is gigantic or those jars are tiny. they will work. just really small.

Thanks! Sorry for not being clear: the jars shown are the BRF jars with the cubensis spore inoculations, and the rye jars (no pics yet) are 1-quart... I have 24 BRF (tiny) jars that are shown and 6 larger 1-quart rye berry jars with Panaeolus.

Fruited the first 3 BRF jars yesterday... 5 of the 6 Rye jars with Panaeolus Bispora are beginning to spawn, but they are really slow. it's been 10 days, starting to get a little impatient.

It's been a week in the shotgun chamber for the first three BRF jars, and I'm concerned about the white fuzz that is growing on the first two... Looks a lot like mold but not sure. (Bottom right cake is the worst...) Any thoughts?

That is fuzzy mycelium on your cakes and it sounds like your cakes are too wet. That will cause the stunted growth and fuzzy mycelium. Are you fanning enough?

Looks like they may be kinda dry, what is that plastic tube doing blowing air into the chamber. And did you stab them with a toothpick?

I fan 4-5 times a day, and misting with a spray bottle... possibly too much. RH where i live is really low (20%) so even with all of the misting it is hard to keep the RH up in the tub. I finally bought a cool mist humidifier to keep the room more wet. The toothpicks are colored top toothpicks stuck in the perlite to keep my identity straight as to which cake is which strain of cubes.

Also, the plastic tube is a humidifier I tried out but doesn't seem to be doing anything. It's a terrarium air pump pumping air into a water-filled jar creating air-bubbles. I've since turned it off as it doesn't seem to be making any difference.

Question for the experts... Living in a really dry climate where the RH in the room is about 20-30%, I am having a terrible time trying to get the RH in the SFC up to 90-100%... I have an Ultrasonic on full and the room is running about 60 % now, but inside the chamber it won't rise above 80%. Any suggestions?

Don't worry about it silly RH < FAE
Taje care of the surface of your cakes with misting. Let evaporate and repeat. The RH on the surface of your cakes is all that matters. It's called a microclimate
Evaporation triggers pinning. 80% + RH is too high and counterproductive

I shook one that was about 30% and it really took off. Hard to find a lot of info and teks on this strain.

Getting some growth in the cakes, (a couple of cakes are doing very well), however, for the experts the last picture shows what I believe to be mold... Any thoughts?

It's an air-pump humidifier... I live in the dry north =) Not sure if it is helping, but read at one point it was a good idea. Thinking of pulling it out...

Enjoying the process of seeing at least some mild success....Harvest has been moving forward since Feb 8, now at about 16g dry, plus in the process of first, second and third flushes from various cakes.
Waiting for the mono-tub with the Panaeolus Copelandia Bisporus to pin. Any of you out there who have harvested Panaeolus Copelandia Bisporus have any advice I would welcome such...

Quick question for anyone who has successfully grown the Panaeolus Copelandia Bisporus... I have a monotub with mycelium from Rye berries, spawned to Cow poo/verm/Coir/gypsum, it ripped through it fairly quickly, then I cased it with MGMC ( all pasteurized according to teks) and it ripped through that as well, and now is seeming to just sit, no pins, no change, no contaminates... Any advice on what I need to do to get it to begin to fruit? I am misting and fanning regularly, humidity is up, temp at 80f. 12/12 light.
