Raw to dried conversion rate

Hi!
I've got a grow kit going filled with Albino shrooms, not entirely sure what the strain is called. I, along with a mate of mine, are planning on taking a few raw shrooms as soon as they're ready, mostly due to our impatience, which is entirely our own fault.
We're both very new to shrooms and have no idea about conversion rates from the raw(fresh) weight, to dry. I understand that growth conditions, strain et cetera play a large role on the variables, but, there must be some sort of average, rigth?
Thanks!

Mushrooms are approximately 90% water, a 10 gram fresh fruit will be equivalent to 1 gram dry. Potency will play a factor, I've eaten over 50 grams fresh and I wouldn't say it was overpowering.

I see, thank you for the quick reply!
We'll just have to try them out, then. I specifically bought the strain for its potency, that much I remember, at least. That, along with some proper grow lights, should result in some proper shroomies.
I'll report back in a few days with a trip report, the exact strain, equipment etc!
See you on the other side.

about a 10th.
as in a 10g fruit will dry to 1g.
or eat 35-45g wet Vs a 8th dry.

Your potency will not be any sort of guarantee with a syringe of spores, you need to use agar to separate the many genetics and hope for something strong. My first try I did a half gram just to judge the potency.
If you can leave the fruiting chamber in a livingroom type of environment with blinds cracked and no real direct sunbeams seemed to work WAY better for me. And the perlite... I tried to get away with 2" until I could run out for more, really made a difference.
Hope you find this experience fun, hang in there, lots of good people here to help you too. Try fresh ones with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

This was the monster my buddy ate one night (42 grams), he couldn't finish the last bite as he felt he would hurl if he did. Of the 20 or so tubs I did this summer only 1 grow resulted in a flush that had my friends wondering what I did to make them so potent. It was luck, so just be respectful of what you are doing and eat responsibly.

Interesting stuff.
I've been reading up about isolating certain traits in a strain, given that I've got experience with cannabis and aquatic plants, I doubt that'll be much of an issue.
Is there any sort of extensive guide on how to isolate genes, traits etc?
Thanks!

Sorry, I went out for some beer. Start with looking into agar, believe me it seems a bit intimidating but it's how to isolate strains.
There is a lot of information and mycology is a whole new life form, I was impressed I ever made anything grow. Now I am trying to stop reinventing the wheel and copy what has worked for decades... and read... and read again.
And whatever you do... don't forget to bring a towel...
