Trump sworn in, California Drought fixed¿

So its Trump's first day, and he's already fixed California's drought¿! http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/environment/
Also, I think we should use "¿" to denote sarcasm.
But seriously, I've been in California for almost a year now, and I don't understand why there are so few ditches. There was standing water all over the Bay Area and all down 99 to Bakersfield, and I'm sure further down into SoCal, due to no ditches.
Either way, looks like the drought is coming to an end out here. The lakes are filled and the Sierras are stacked with heavy snow. America is already greater under Trump.

Southern Calf. will have water problems till the world is over. Watch "China Town" It's been like that since the post WWII population boom.

Yeah, 40% of the state has emerged from drought. Precipitation levels seem to be averaging about 130% of normal in those areas. That leaves the rest still in drought conditions, and it's still a major problem. As Brian said, California always has, and likely always will, have serious water issues. The entire Western U.S. is projected to be in drought, with available water decreasing, indefinitely. The West is drying up. It's a crisis no one talks about, and it's very serious.

crude drawing of "vapormaker"
floats in the ocean in near shore waters (or maybe further off shore, i'm not sure) Capillary action allows for the water level to sit higher inside the standpipe than outside. parabolic mirrors focus on the base of the standpipe, heating the water inside and producing water vapor. Wind carries the vapor over land where it rains out on the mountains.
I think these would be workable. Probably would need a bunch to make a noticeable difference though.

All the asphalt roads arent helping much either, we're basically covering up the earth with this black tar and then we wonder why it gets so fucking hot nowadays..

Like most people who live anywhere I doubt they *chose* to live there. They already lived there and they *chose* to either start a business or even still made no choice and inherited it or otherwise feel into it. Farmers are not exactly wealthy and look at a US map to find good land, they're confined to where they live. Blame public policy and those granting land use rights if anything. At the end of the day the problem, imo, isn't so much a lack of water in CA anyway, moving water around the country is fairly trivial in the grand scheme of things, the problem is exploitation and greed.

Yea I heard some people making the point that companies like Neslte export ass-loads of water, sourced in the U.S., to China. Interesting business model during a drought.

Most of the fresh water in the world is in the Great Lakes. And even as we pump it out it is not diminishing. We have different rainfall patterns. Cali and the South West can buy our water but, but as your scarcity increases the price will go up. The Sun Belt has been declaring their superiority and calling us shit in the Rust Belt for years. Nothing personal, but simple economics says were going to fu*K your ass on this.

isnt that something?
even worse there is no where on earth to put plastic, but they keep producing it anyway. Despite containing bpo, bpa, bps. they subject everyone to it knowing the harmful effects its had over generations. After WW2 cancer has greatly increased. Oh well. Hey maybe mars or the moon can be like the new dump.
