sinicuichi * 1
    #24024457 - 01/19/17 11:10 PM (7 years, 10 days ago)

Heimia salicifolia (sinicuichi) is a perennial shrub with small narrow leaves and yellow flowers growing up to 1.5 meters. It has been identified as the Aztec hallucinogen "sinicuichi" though this fact is controversial. Sinicuichi is reported to be an auditory hallucinogen, but the effects of H. salicifolia are not well known.

Anyone ever tried this plant? Im interested to hear how people have prepared it and what the effects were.

I remember head shops selling some lettuce that supposedly got one high and some other random stuff. 2C-B as shrooms etc...if I had known what 2c-b was back then I would have bought it!

I bought some of it during my legal-high phase.

I tried making tea with it and smoking it. neither did anything. Did taste like shit though

First time I've heard about this stuff, and I've heard of quite a few thangs :smirk: .

Did a quick search & read around and it has my interest :yesnod: :strokebeard: . Like with a lot of obscure active plants/herbs, from reading online reports/anecdotes it seems like a lot of people don't experience a damn thing but there is definitely plenty of reports of it being active for some people. (quality/freshness of the material might have something to do with that).

From the little bit of reading I did on it (like 10 min worth of skimming through different pages) and the impression I have of what it'd kinda be like (when effective), I have a feeling it would pair well with cannabis or maybe even the classic psychedelics during the later portion of the trip or come down.

I do want to try it sometime...I tend to be sensitive to most plants/herbs & things, if I ever get around to it sometime in the future I'll be sure to post back.

I did a bit of research on this plant in the past as I love random stuff like this and had a friend who was interested. I meant to buy a plant to grow but never did,  you can find em pretty cheap.

Anyways I believe there are 2 plants that are called sincuichi, they are close relatives and I think I read one is more potent then the other. This could explain why some people don't experience anything and some do.

Also I think I read they ferment the plant material before consuming it.
:strokebeard:

It is called "sun opener" I believe because it tints people's vision yellow like a sunset.

Yeah I've tried this one before. Just smoked it I believe. It's supposed to enhance dreaming. Can't recall it having any effect. I was a fiend at the time though, and doing subs & benzos or dope everyday though, so things were skewed.

I've smoked sinicuichi extract. I can't remmeber the extract potency, but it caused a yellowing tint of my vision and relaxing effects. Nothing too strong though. I didn't experience any auditory hallucinations.

I made the tea when I was younger, over 10 years ago.
I remember having a mild "dreamy/out of body" feeling. Nothing cazy, maybe placebo.

Some of mine here...

I might still have a bag of that somewhere, bought some long ago just to see what happens. I never managed to make any really effective tea out of it and smoking small amounts didn't really do anything. I managed to get some effects with a volcano vaporizer after some bags and drinking tea simultaneously, it tasted kind of interesting vaporized. The effects were calming and I'd recall my vision getting a bit more sharp and clear, no tint that I would remember though. All in all, not too exciting, I'd recall there was some muscular aches too.
