But I Have a Prescription!

So here's the situation:
I was recently interviewed for a job and they told me that they drug test. From everything that I could find online, I thought that they would be giving a 5 panel test. They told me that I can't have an MMJ card and be considered for the job, but they said NOTHING about any other drugs, just that I have to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
I have a legit prescription for Xanax. I don't take it often, but sometimes I take it to sleep, sometimes I take it when I'm on an airplane, and rarely I use it for anxiety (which is what the prescription was written for).
So five days ago I showed up for the drug screening and the nurse tells me that it's a 12 panel, meaning that it WILL test for Benzos (Xanax). I had no warning about this, and I had taken 1.5mg 11 days prior. Luckily I got my test results back today and I came up negative for all substances, but after I took the test, I did receive an email from the company saying that I will be able to start training "as long as the drug screening comes back negative for everything."
So what the hell? Can I not take Xanax with this job? I understand that I can't take it at work, and I never would, but my prescription is legit. I want to ask my employer, but I'm afraid that if I tell them that I have a Benzo prescription that they may tell me that I can't be considered for the position.
The job, for what it's worth, is a driving job for a commercial tour company.
I'm curious if anyone has any advice about this. I finally have a doctor who gives me full access to Xanax, and now I may not be able to take it at all. WTF?

You passed the 12 panel bro. Sail it on forward your cleeeeeeeen You ain't gotta worry unless you "get hurt" on job or cause "accident" Live , enjoy your life
you passed just don't give reason to test again. Simple. 99% of jobs seem that way

Do you need a CDL or specific DOT license?

Yes, it will be CDL work.
And they do random tests 4 times a year.
I was thinking about just pissing in a bottle now (since I know that my piss is clean) and keep that piss in my car for whenever I take benzos. I won't take them at work, but if I take one on the weekend to get to sleep after an LSD trip or if I need to use them to get to sleep or travel, then it would be good to know that I don't have to be paranoid for a week.

K, yea CDL requires randoms. Ever think of the battery warmed piss pouch? They give you 12-24hrs to show up n take the test usually. Plenty of time to go home n warm it up n take yer time. - I have mmj card. Took my own drug test for family court in state NOT mmj friendly itself. Now that I have my card my test gets flagged positive at first , sent to lab. Then after real doc lab does analysis the "MRO" ( medical review officer) a real doctor, calls me to verify I may have positive, then ask if I have a medical reason, and give me opportunity to say negative, positive, or even give detailed test info. Fucking cool I think Look up your states laws I believe employers only have rights to your prescriptions if you allow it. If you make medical review officer say negative your gravy.
