oysters aplenty

this popped up almost seemingly overnight, its all over this dead tree. was thinking P. ostreatus gonna be eating oyster for a wile. any suggestions of how to cook it? 

anyone else getting great oysters like this popping up ?

Those look nice!  I like to cut them into long strips, fried up with salt and butter.  Then put into rice.  :grin:

If you like Mexican food they make for an excellent fish style taco if you bread and fry them

Just a tip, if cooking in a pan don't add salt until the end. The salt draws moisture out of the mushroom so they can become soggy if added too early. Also, sometimes it's best to dry sautee for a few minutes so some moisture cooks off, then add your oil or butter.

normaly i just slice them thin and fry in butter till they get slightly crispy then i add worchester, soy or fish sauce.

:biggrin: I'm so hungry for some oysters but I need to wait for my blocks to colonize! good find! Try making oyster mushroom BBQ with some of them.
