Please help me remember some basics...

Greetings all you wonderful Shroomers!
I'm helping a buddy work on his WBS jars tomorrow morning, and it's been a good 10 years since I've worked with jars. I'm really strapped for time here, and I'm having difficulties pouring through all the info I need using the search engine. So forgive me for asking such simpleton questions. Again, I'm strapped for time here, so maybe one of you lovlies could help a gal out?
Basically I just need to know how to build a good jar lid. The materials I have to work with are silicone (heat rated), polyfil, and a roll of Tyvek (not sure if it's the same stuff as the post office envelopes, though it looks extremely close if not identical- just on a big 3' roll). I also have a drill and a 1/4" and 3/8" bit, as recommended in this TL Lid Tek here:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/14186384#14186384
However TL recommends using a synthetic filter disc, instead of polyfil or tyvek. Well, I don't have SFD's. I don't mind using Tyvek and polyfil. I can put foil over the lids when pressure cooking.
What I need to know is:
1. How many holes should I drill for a pint size jar, and what size do each of those holes need to be? (Should I follow TL's suggestion of (1) 1/4" inoculation hole and (1) 3/8" frequent air exchange hole, or do I need more than 1 FAE holes?)
2. Is all Tyvek pretty much the same? I've had this roll for awhile. It looks like the right stuff and has the Tyvek label. But are there different types of Tyvek?
3. Should I use a layer of Tyvek under the lid AND polyfil through one (or however many) hole(s), or just use the polyfil and forget the Tyvek all together?
4. The silicone says it's a 24 hour cure time. Can I fudge it and only cure it for 9 hours before pressure cooking the jars? If not, can I use hot glue instead for the inoculation point?
Thank you SO MUCH in advance. I apologize again for asking such simple questions. I know this forum is clogged with them. I'm just so short on time. Thank you for understanding.
~Love to you all~

Drill 1/4 inch hole in lid.
Stuff as tight as you can with polyfill, cover with foil
save the rtv for when you have time and SFD.

Thank you for your reply! Maybe I should postpone doing these jars until I can make proper lids. I sure don't want my friend's jars to fail because I fudged it. Where would I go about finding synthetic filter discs around town? Or must I go online? Thanks again!

1/4" hole with two layers micropore just never shake or knock them over. If you're confident enough to inoculant is good and your grains are good I'd say do it. But never rush projects.. get SFD's online, sand down the plastic lid, RTV disk on over 1/4" hole. Start things right and it will pay off.

I prefer to leave the discs whole and place them underneath the lid

Great advice! And I think I will tell my friend that we need to take this slow and do it right. He's super eager to do this, and has been pressuring me to get things rolling fast. But I'm so rusty that I keep forgetting basic stuff. So I'm going to do the right thing and get the proper filter discs! Thanks for the input y'all! It means a lot!

Why thank you! I'm going to have to switch my plan up because I didn't realize it was bad to directly inoculate WBS jars. I'm going to go with the PF Tek for my buddy since it's nice and easy for a first timer. Cheers everyone!
