Risk of mailing obscure illegal seeds

So I found a seller in Austria who carries several "medicinal" seeds, most notably Tabernanthe iboga, khat, and kratom. I know that iboga and its constituents are all scheduled, but only the ingredients in khat rather than the plant itself appear in any scheduling. I believe there is some DEA literature on the subject but I have not checked it out. If I remember correctly it's the same case as peyote, i.e., the main constituent is scheduled but the plant is not, though I'm sure khat is more obscure and less recognizable than peyote. Either way, I doubt any customs worker would be able to identify seeds alone.
Basically I'm looking for reassurance, because I've never imported anything sketchy.

Assuming you are in the US, you cannot import seeds without the proper permits period. That's not to say that seed won't make it, but if discovered customs will seize and destroy the package and send you a love letter.
Lophophora williamsii and Tabernathe iboga are both scheduled as plants which means that the seeds themselves are illegal so if your packets are labelled with the genus and species that would be bad.
Catha edulis is not specifically scheduled and thus the seeds are legal, but you can't import seeds without the proper permit technically.
Tabernathe iboga seeds are much bulkier than the other two species you mentioned. They also are harder to ship.

I've imported legal seeds and plants plenty of times and had 100% success. I'll be sure to request that they be shipped unidentified. Thanks for the informative post.
