Well regarding my picture, I have a new property that is two acres of fescue sod on red clay surrounded by pine trees. The picture below is one of about thirty patches of lacrymaria. And all the caps were that size or bigger. Literally covering the yard. Not exaggerating but every step you take you'd see a cluster of lacrymaria. Does that mean weilii will grow here?

Maybe. No one can say more definitively than that.

That's just wear the bodies are buried, nothing to see here.

Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to keep on checking those spots throughout the year.

I have seen patches produce well during one season, then go dormant, then produce massive flushes of actives the next season.

Patches be crazy yo.

Wryans, we're going to find the mother load I can feel it. Every now and then, a little voice in my head tells me "Open your eyes, there's actives here..."  I can feel the mushrooms watching me.

Yeah man... I can feel it too... the whispers have me crawling on my hands and knees thru random lawns, jumping over barbed wire fences, checking updates on here constantly, etc... I know I must pay my dues, so I'm trying to enjoy the learning experience... chilly morning... supposed to be back up into the 70-80s next week... these lacrymaria are everywhere... might try to find some mulch paths today and go for a walk... good luck my friends...

Damn Doc, do work son. Is that blueing all over the caps? Is this one of your known spots or did you stumble upon these?

Yep, I have some crazy blue ones. This was found at a new spot for weilii but I had found Lacrymaria there before. I'll take a habitat video.
