Visited 2 of my biggest and best patches this morning and didn't find anything at all at either for the first time since early April.

Damn. I haven't even went looking yet we hadn't had quite enough rain in my neck of the woods. And the ground everywhere is fairly dry. This heat just sucks it back up once it falls. I don't think the ground has time soak much up before the sun sets it back out

Agreed 110% BC... by 9-10am the sun has burnt that moisture up... I still can't complain though... haven't turned on my irrigation system yet this year in Roswell... only happened one other year like this since we moved in 8+ years ago... more importantly, the wife isn't bitching about the $500-$600 water bills I usually have during the summer months because of my landscape watering addiction... better luck next time Doc... you started the new gig yet?... looks like it's going to be a scorcher with no rain until the weekend... hoping the rains come back soon...

When I get to heaven they're going to have me all set up to use a southpaw Wario to play a series of high stakes skins game at Koopa Park vs Phil Hartman's Metal Mario. Supercold Budweisers brought to me by Marcel, that little monkey fella from "Friends".

If I remember correctly, a few years ago someone posted some caerulescens from a park in Chattanooga. Maybe your luck will follow you up there.

Finally got what I needed to start my experiment to grow Caerulescens in an outdoor bed. Shredded up a couple logs of loblolly while at work and taking it home tonight to introduce some spores into it. Don't expect to see much of anything this year beside mycelium growth. And even toss in a few old ones I find in future hunts
