Morning gents... man this GA weather is crazy... hot, cold, sunny, stormy,... made it out to The Masters in Augusta yesterday... rain sucked and found myself hunting instead lol... passed a Chatham maintenance truck on 75 this week and was wondering if it was Cham... lol... saw these guys in Bermuda this morning in Roswell... am I correct to assume Lacrymaria? Trying for a spore print now... hoping these are a good indicator of other things to come... hope everyone has a great weekend and happy hunting... thanks!

Oh well… I figured as much… Still enjoy the hunt and the identification process… hopefully it's a sign of good things to come… the guy I saw was in a Chatham box truck will ith no crew…  you asked the question the other day that made me think…  would Zoysia lawns be just as inclined to have them as fescue and Bermuda? TGIF...

Zoysha is so thick and strong, that even weeds get choked out by it, I think it would be possible, but not as likely as a more airy grass like Bermuda and fescue.

AYYYYYYY boys,

Stoked for this season. I moved out of Troup County and am now up here in Gordon.

Should be a great year.

Also, Carcass and Doc, have you guys had any luck planting caerulescens butts or dumping spore slurries in your yards?

Does it take a couple years to develop the network and flush?

Well, Carcass told me yesterday that clear cut forests take a couple years for mycelium to get going before fruiting, but idk about grass

Makes sense. I feel like if I were to try and make it happen in my lawn I should disturb the clay a good bit

I'm actually working on that.  I put some butts and spores in one of my buddies yard last year or two years ago I can't remember , and in my yard  and around my neighborhood this year.  Haven't been to my buddies house to check there yet.  But I'm hoping to get something going with some woodchips from a guy I know who does tree work this year as well.  And inoculate them an see what happens

I have planted quite a few over the years, haven't seen a finished product from any of them though...

Well regarding my picture, I have a new property that is two acres of fescue sod on red clay surrounded by pine trees. The picture below is one of about thirty patches of lacrymaria. And all the caps were that size or bigger. Literally covering the yard. Not exaggerating but every step you take you'd see a cluster of lacrymaria. Does that mean weilii will grow here?
