I dont know about north Ga. But central and south Ga. Are the hottest humidest places I've been to in the states. Reminds me pf Southeast Asia.

Woodstock area in a subdivision. It was in moss/clay with pine trees and sweet gum right next to it. The area was a good area to get partial light through the day and keep moisture. When I found that one I looked all around it and seems as though someone came along and picked all the others growing around it.

Thank you for the welcome! I love following this thread it has been inspiring. I am seriously a newb and been slowly learning for about 2 years about these amazing weilii. I have finally been branching out into other kinds but the weilii are just so amazin.

Hmmm. I wonder what the Weilliis will look like in California with the lack of humidity.

Well I will be throwing spawn in woodchips, spawn in the pine forests, spawn in the clay hills, and spawn on the coast.

Is Weillii a cold fruiting mushroom or a warm temp mushroom like Ovoid?

If it's a warm temp I think everyone is right, it might not work unless I get it into some gardens with irrigation.

If it does fruit in the cold, it gets plenty humid during our rainy season.

Most fungi lay dormant for hot times and or cold times.
Think of how many mushrooms grow in the north! :bigyesnod:
MANY fungi can survive extremes , I think introduction of good spawn and spores is simply key.
Habitat is key but I have wood lovers that live far north and go thru very very harsh winters. Way worse than where they came from or species originated.
Hope ppl spread weilii. Bigtime :awedance:
