I hope so. But I've also found mass numbers of lacrymaria in non weilii habitat.

Yes for me it has been.  I've always seen them fruit right before and / or right afterwards.  But I'm also further south than you.  That one was found in Locust Grove.

Hot damn. Dude I'm so ready to find the mother load. I've been on the hunt for pans and copes lately. Guess I should keep my eyes peeled for Wiley coyote

It looks so SAD! I'm gonna go check one of my hopeful habitats now just to see. About 100 acres of pine trees were cut down a year ago. Maybe this hunt will be fruitful

It's definitely worth a shot.
On my research most clear cut areas takes 2 to 3 years for the mycelium to incubate and grow naturally but I think the mild winter helped a lot so it's possible.

Was a nature trail through a neighborhood.  Has those sewer holes every so many feet.
Several grasses and weeds right off the beaten pathway. Trees around the area are loblolly pines, sweetgums mainly.  There are oaks, an hickory around. Few eastern white pines and few cedars here and there in peoples back yard. Have found several patches under those cedars too.

I've known this spot for 4 or 5 years.  Knew a few busted got busted picking from it too. I'm just a little smarter than they were with it. And the farthest from my house. Easily a 30 minute drive haha but even one is worth it.  Too me at least
