And took a few older specimens and scraped the spores off the caps of the ones I saw had spores all over them spread them on this papertowel. And buried them in certain areas of the property I have access too. And hoping to get some shut growing there in a couple years

Im jealous of you GA fuckers, chants and actives seem to be booming out that way.
We are pretty much in an off season right now for another month or two. Cant wait for chants to start popping up this way, and cyans too

Nice. I'm going to get a bag full of decomposing pinestraw from my patch and put it in my grow pot

Yup all of the above. Found cyans, and ovoids so far. No azures yet though I will hopefully be "finding" them in a cultivated area in a few months
Baeocystis, stuntzii and libs grow up here too but haven't found them yet either. This fall is going to be a fun one, I can feel it.

Sounds nice, and a good variety. I know there are several there but haven't done much research as I live in GA just been researching what grows here and neighboring states. So far I've only found Cubensis, Cearulescens, supposed Atlantis but definitely a Psilocybe could be Mexicana only time will tell. And so e could have been cinctulus. But haven't found any more yet to make a good confirmation yet.

Nice I'm hoping it works for you man would love to see that work. I need a chipper we clear cut so many loblolly pines it's not even funny. And can get them but have no way to chip them up but working on it. And plan to put them in my yard where I already spread spores of Cearulescens and the Atlantis I found. And hoping to inoculate some loblolly pine chips and pine straw in the same spot

There's even more than what's on that plate. I filled two plates and a slab of card board in front of a little space heater on 85. And dry out very quick too.

I just said hello, took a pic, and kept on moving... we went our separate ways... my dogs ran right past it and I was right behind them with two handfuls of chants... gorgeous snake... it was definitely more afraid than me...

no more preaching needed, as you hit the nail on head. In my experience, copperheads are by far one of the least aggressive species we have in the south. I'm an AM herpetologist before i am an Am mycologist. copperheads are less aggressive than literally dozens of native species. They are also one of the easiest species to catch, as they are purely rely upon their venoumou bite as a defense mechanism. waiting for the perfect strike to envenom whatever lies before them. My uncle who was a herpetologist has been dry bitten twice by contotrix's, and didn't need antidotes both bites, even though he was of course hospitalized after both bites. These are what we csall DRY BITES.copperheads, along with all vipreridae species of the south are truly among the most passive species. pick up any other species and you're gonna get bit. Vipers seem to be aware of the pack behind their bites

Thought I would check in now that the weilii season is about to kick off. Thread is tldr. I am sure I did not miss anything, right?
Just kidding. Just read the whole damn thing. Good stuff. I laughed, I cried, I was inspired to get off my ass and hunt...
Had a nice long hunt checking usual spots. No luck in the woods or even lawns. Did finally find a couple. Oh well, it's still early, for me anyways.
