Definitely, but glad to be working again though. Man I saw this patch of about 7 or 8 mushrooms, on the side of the road the other day all of them wereeasily a foot tall. Wish I could had gotten out and checked them. But next rain I'll go back that way and check them out

Hi, Does slope direction matter? Like some moss may grow better on a North facing slope or the north side of a tree. Are North facing slopes better?

No it doesn't matter. One of mine faces the east southeast direction. They'll grow where ever they feel like grow. Look everywhere

Awesome bloody... cool pics... you're southside, right? Are those in full sun, but heavily shaded by tall grasses? When would you say it last rained in that location?
Hope everyone is having a good week... it's almost Friday... rains coming again...

Thanks man I wasn't expecting to even find anything. But yes this patch is in Henry co. As well as the supposed Atlantis I found same area. Last time it rain ed was Saturday about 10 and lasted a couple hours of heavy rain followed by a couple hours of drizzle. Stopped raining Saturday here about 430 maybe 5 And even saw a few more pins starting to pop but I think this flush is about done the grounds pretty dry but the morning see probably helps a lot and yes it's almost in full sun until about 6 pm but very tall grass I usually weedeat it regularly but haven't in a while

Look different than the ones in find but that could be duento a lot of different factors. Have you sent any samples off yet? Have yoiu cham?

And I believe so as aswell. What I've read they like the same habitat you'd think Caerulescens would be. And there already know Cearulescens there. But only time will tell. I can't wait to have a day off I can try them

Cham-inator kickin' ass on a Friday...
Bloody thanks for the info... nice finds... I know there's been some discussion on here about elevations… I would assume there's a significant difference between Cherokee and Henry Counties, so awesome you are finding them...
Have a great weekend fellas... cheers!

Nice find Nelson, and those are some pretty looking one you found Cham.
And I would assume there's a couple hundred ft of difference. But I'm not really sure of the elevation where that patch is but I can check it out

I'll defer to his highness, Chaminator... I'd guess pinestraw mulch around the trees...

Yeah, like 4-8 inches of decomposing pinestraw. And they're pristine man. Thick pinestraw makes some of them look lab grown

It's a more concentrate food source I would imagine and all the pine straw on top just makes it the perfect ecosystem

I've spoken landscapers there, in our native horticulture language, and they say they've been putting layer, upon layer, upon layer of pinestraw there 4 times a year for 3 years
