Dude... so I microdosed tonight, and had this amazing revelation about what has been going on in this part of Georgia...
So the Etowah land and Cherokee people inhabited this part of North Georgia since the beginning of time---folklorickly or otherwise--anyways, they were obviously gathering and forraging daily, all year (...just a note before I zone again, Etowah isnt a tribe of indian/native at all---they were Creek, or Muscogee Indian, Etowah is the word for city, Andrew Jackson blah blah), anyway---mushrooms
These Creek Indians right, they were super hip---they were deeply influenced by trending culture of their time. They were also democratic. Not democrats. Democratic. So when white folks came down here the Creek were living in cities built around Town Squares, where people spoke different languages, and shared international ideas...
These noble ideas of Democracy are generally attributed to the Iroquois around 900-1000, REMEMBER THAT ITS SUPER IMPORTANT BECAUSE our beloved Cherokee Indian spoke a Southern Iroquoian dialect. ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE BORN FREE. That is a Cherokee Declaration of Rights.
So these super hip Creek living in town squares, and these Democratic love bugs the Cherokee were living up here in the mountains--the Creek in the Etowah in the towns, and Cherokee in the mountains---Im wiggin hard---
Both groups, and they argued, but both groups believed in whats called YUNWI TSUNDI. Forgive me if I mispell that, but YUNWI TSUNDI means "fairies" in Cherokee. These guys believed in little spirits and faeries that would come out and play tricks on people behaving badly NOW... one of the active compounds in our beloved Ps. Weilii is Psilocin. And Psilocin contains of course....4-Hydroxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine... These Indians were in fairy land.
and so---these same mushrooms that we are hunting, are the same mushrooms hypothetically resonposible for the noble ideas of Western Civilization a la Democracy, Justice, Peace, Love, Pizza...
I need to be done, and I apologize for infiltrating this thread, I am simply to far gone and will go back to being naked in the rain.

The only two Cubensis I found couldn't get photos of them growing. As I jumped off a 4wheeler and told my buddy to stop, hahah I freaked him out. But he's cool and was helping me look for them as well.

Beautiful cubes bloody.
And cham, more info about the atlantis please. Great find.
Sounds like a nice time joe. Everything gets very Aztec the couple times I've had weilii with my friend. Sitting outside, watching the clouds swirl around, as if they're being manipulated by some omnipotent force. Makes me think about ancient cultures experiencing things like that without our modern knowledge of neuroscience.

Thanks man, hoping to find more in a couple days. Just gotta see if they'd let me walk around in the pasture. Not the other 400 acres of pines I already have access to. Wish me luck guys. And on my Panaeolus Cinctulus find as Well. Never had them before. But this is a perfect pasture from what I've seen and the cubes got me excited, because I found those Panaeolus about 5 minutes before the 2 cunes

I know the feeling man. That's what my haul looked like the first time I walked up on Weilantis. Here's more pictures from yesterday morning. 3 different varieties. Pinestraw. Bermuda. And fescue/dirt. Got my phone lol, so here are some legit pictures showing characteristic variations for almost-different habitats. FOR SCIENCE!!!!
Pinestraw. Spider clan. (they look like spiders)

Bermuda

Fescue/dirt

Also, yesterday afternoon, found a few more Atlantis near where the others were

Spider Clan!!!!

wow thanks for that cap shot... they look a lot like what I was considering to be afterflushes of weilii at my patches, but they are always fully mature at that size also the coloration looks spot on as well... Everything I have ever found here has been in that range of elevation, which is pretty much all of north metro Atlanta all the way up through Bartow. Things may stray a slight bit from that elevation, but not much.
