Hello y'all. I have been watching this thread all season. Some very great finds. I was a part of this Georgia weilii community a decade ago back when things were a bit different.
It seems to me that the findings in recent years haven't been nearly as massive as when I was an avid hunter. I didn't find a single one this year which is odd considering I used to be able to fill a trash bag full with no problem. As did many others from back in those days. The only thing this year the resembled the old days was Cham's weilantis patch.
This is just an observation but I could be wrong. Perhaps I have just lost my touch and the big findings just aren't being posted, but I have a feeling that's not true.
Anyway, just wanted to congratulate the hunters this year and announce my coming out of retirement to rejoin the shroomery community. I have some big things I'd like to share with y'all in the coming year.
Also, it's a shame Lizardking's photos are largely removed from this forum. He had the prime examples as to what kind of patches I'm talking about from those days. He was truly one of the best...
Lastly, breeg can you tell me more about the area of georgia and habitat you are finding the ovoids. River lands surely but what region? mountains?

NICE NiCe!!! I found some Ga. Ovoids too but I did not have my camera on hand. They were at a creek mulch bed I made & spread Ovoid spores & buried Ovoid Mycelium. They were a lil smaller than yours breg89. Nice Fruited at the same time(late fruiters here)as yours too. I saved a few specimens & left the rest to continue the cycle. Peace & Love

To anyone interested in the ovoids, search my name and ovoids within this GA active thread and you will find habitat pics/info.
Can't wait till next spring - that whole fucking park flooded.
And welcome back skydrift. This season has seemed pretty good, especially the nice flushes this spring.

Cool info... Been trying my luck at getting things going in my yard as well... I cut off all the butts from my finds and made some different concoctions with spore prints... have you gotten any prints, then mixed with rain water in a spray bottle? Good luck... I always think that every time one of us finds them, we spread more and more spores... real cold coming this weekend... ugh... hope everyone is doing well and enjoying all those dehydrated goodies... can’t wait for Phish or someone to post a meter box find in Feb... in the meantime, I’ll be doing some ready in my new yet real old magazine I got today... cheers all...

Found these two blue beauties at the smaller of the two patches. Nothing at the larger patch, as far as I could tell.
ovoids (Dec 3rd)

well-hidden weilii (Dec 3rd)

Going for probably last hunt of the season tomorrow, and I’m moving across the country in March so this will be my last chance to hopefully find some Weilii! Fingers crossed....

Yes they are pan Cinctulus & Some Gyms. I usually don't pick them in the field, but these are close by & a lil bigger than usual finds so I have been saving them. I pick about 10 to 14 every other morning from a horse pasture. I had to run for the border for(lol). I saw them while eating some fast food. Peace & Love

I sure would like to have picked that womans brain in the first pic. I bet she could tell some great stories about the visions she has had from the magic mushroom rituals she performs.

I live in North GA, Alpharetta/Forsyth area is my main location of interest when looking. I've noticed at work, a burst of mushrooms growing over the past week despite the snow we had a couple weeks ago. Is it still possible to find some actives out there?
