An old forum member, that I know personally, told me where his old hunting grounds where. Really stoked to go look tomorrow morning. Wish me luck.

Well I know of only one area, people have been busted picking from down on the south side. Hopefully it's not that spot. But good luck

I can gladly say it's not. I honestly don't think anyone knows of this spot. It's on an off road in Hall.

What’s up brethren. It is with great excitement that i return to y’all today. Couldn’t resist the urge to go back and hunt the same spot (refer to my post yesterday). I was still pressed for time today as I had to go back to work but I managed to find all these babes. They were all found growing under grass. They really love to hide! They were pretty hard to spot, most of them couldn’t be seen without moving the grass around. Gotta really keep your eyes peeled for em. Really excited to be finding all these in LaGrange! Shoutout to my boy handbanana666!

That is an Amanita sp. Behind the little sweetgum sapling too. Just in case anyone was wondering. That's how close these guys are to other mushrooms they love to camoflague themselves

Haha thanks Joe. I am so addicted to shrooming. For a while I was checking my secret spots every 12 hours!
Anyhow it pays off. Here is today's haul! This is my personal record by far. Found in a dog park that some of you may know about...

Hey new hunters , shoot me a message if you need tips. The season isn't over yet!

Dude... spectacular. The gods are with you.
..assume you're dehydrating these? You could show some folks how you're "curing" your late in season finds...especially considering how dense and wet they appear. Great work. Anyone else using great or different preservation methods?

Grats dude! If you have a dehydrator use that, otherwise place a fan on them spread out. If you don't have a fan... Buy one lol.

Thanks man! I'm so stoked!!' I almost yelled when I saw them. Do you think a heater on low would help or only a fan?

Yes I think that would work, but keep an eye on them. A dehydrator just blows hot air on things. I would post a pic of all your finds spread out since it's your first. Get familiar with the smell, it's a valuable Id'ing tool.
