Need some ID on these guys....
These were clustered in two groups of about 4-6 caps in each right next to each other....
They are covered in spores or dirt or dog crap(that's the black dust), stems hollow, smells like the good stuff (veggies and such)... But still not sure as to what they are
Then there is this little cat

I'm not seeing any blue.... But that top looks like a Weilli or so I think... Noob to this mycology thing

First ones look like Lacrymaria. Second one resembles caerulescens, but I think it's Entoloma.
Oh, and you should make a separate thread for IDs.

Well... shit. I will start a new thread for next ID, living in the woods, I got tons of different kinds of mushrooms I got no idea what they are. However, I am learning more about my local fungi each post I make.
Thanks for your quick reply!

These were a little harder to find than the last, seems someone cleared the spot they were growing. Found another load close by. Got a little scratched up but came out with a nice little take away. South Cherokee.

I need to start hunting down sewer lines. Do they run residentially?
Keep up the great work man---
GOOD JOB PEOPLE, KEEP HUNTING SPREADING SPORES AND KEEP ON REACHING FOR THE STARS

This particular sewer trail is behind a neighborhood. It goes back yards, about 100 yards of woods, this sewer trail, a creek, a regular non sewer trail on the other side of the creek that also fruits but in fewer numbers and more spread out, another 100 yards or so of woods, and then a different neighborhood. I access it from where it crosses a major road.
My other current patch is in a park next to a sidewalk that also is near a creek. There also happens to be a couple of those cement sewer hatches near by.
The best patch I ever found was on a sewer trail that wasn't really near anything other than a creek that a few people might fish at but otherwise an unused area. The year after I found it they built a park there and drove bull dozers all over the patch and hauled off all of the old rotten logs that were everywhere that they seemed to like. You would think the disturbance would encourage growth but I have been going back to check it at least once a season for like 8 years and nada.
The sewer thing has always worked for me. It's typically more private so you get some nice alone time in nature away from prying eyes. I think it has something to do with engineers wanting to install them at the lowest point of an area following natural drainage routes. These kinds of areas collect runoff from all of the surrounding areas so spores are likely to end up there. They also stay shady but get a little sun, and they have the whole man-made disturbance thing going on.
how do i identify a sewer trail??

breeg89 said: The other patches I've found are in a park with mainly hardwoods (yellow poplars and sweet gums - classic early succession trees). In my experience, the essential element is that the area has been disturbed. Pines might help, but aren't essential for me. The spot in the pics is carpeted with young sweet gums along the edges of the trail.
Make sense with the disturbance, I've just never had any luck anywhere close to hardwoods like this. It's always been around or within 100yards of pine thicket and sweetgums.

awesome shots man Humble!
People will probably eternally argue that plucking wrecks mycelium but I don't thin that's true.
I pinch them to avoid the dirt.

Obviously it hasn't been raining but humidity gets up to 100% every night and temps right. I found these by a little runoff pool in a shady area 10 feet from a lake. Be on the lookout for these isolated micro environments despite how dry and hot it is. THEY ARE OUT THERE. Also they seem to be enjoying lakewater

No luck in Fayette for me so far. I'm having issues finding areas with the right mix of sun and moist ground. Seeing some clusters of other varieties in neighborhoods but all white.

My pos phone actually captured a couple of decent pictures today. These were from my park patch, Cherokee County, found about 20 total. The ground seems really dry, but they keep on coming.
