cake's verm cover humidity, spray it or not?
    #2401932 - 03/04/04 11:26 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

hey there.

i aquired a cake which is now on day three in the fruiting chamber.
on day one, i pured a little bit of tap water onto the cake (i spread
it as good as i could)
because it stated on the cake's cover that i should spray it with water
prior to use.

since i didn't have anything to spray i just pured in some.

now, on day three, i have noticed the myc starting to break through the
verm. cover, and i am concerned if i should still spray it with some
water on the surface today, because now i got something i could use for
that purpose.

would that harm the myc that already grew through the verm?
(its really pretty much nothing) oh yeah, just got cooked up tap water here.

cya :mushroom2:

*edit*
is that even needed?=, pretty damn humid in there anyway

*edit2*
WAY better description below, pls look there if you cant figure
out wtf i am talking bout

you shouldnt pure water sraight onto to cakes if there is pins..and just spay the walls of the PMP...not the cake directly

I would stop spraying it now, and let it fruit.
As MV said, spraying the sides of the fruiting chamber is
still a good idea.

hey there!

guys, you obviously got me totally wrong, i am going to rephrase.

cake been in fruiting chamber for 3 days
now i start to see REALLY tiny spots where the myc grows through the vermiculite
i NEVER sprayed it with water, even though i should have relying to the instructions

what i want to know is, if i shall NOW, on day three, spray it's top
with some water or now, there are no signs of pins or anything equal to
them yet.

hope you got me now, i know i write damn confusing

greets
ohm :mushroom2:

Ah 3 days, well, no don't spray the cake anymore,
just the insdie of the fruiting chambers, and leave
the cake unmolested to fruit
