Cobweb in jars or slow mycelium growth?? (Pics)
    #24019014 - 01/18/17 01:53 AM (7 years, 12 days ago)

I'm growing a few different strains after previously growing only golden teachers. Now I've found that my burma, cambodia, and corumbas are doing great but my golden teachers look like they have cobweb mold of some sort instead of healthy looking white fluffy mycelium. Toss it? (Gt on the bottom/left, Cambodia looking good on top)

I do not see any cobweb. I see healthy cube growth in the top jar. The bottom jar also looks healthy, maybe the substrate is a little dense down there, thats maybe why it looks slightly different (not as ropey). Cobweb looks different I think, more greyish in the beginning, and is super fast. It also smells differently, I know one is not supposed to smell, but I do it. its a good indicator of whats going on.

That is not cobweb, just cube myc.

Better pics would've helped but they look good to me, can't be sure they're 100% clean though, might be bacterial, but you can find that out by shaking the jars and observing as they recover/colonize.
