AFOAF re-cased some stalled casings that were sitting in the fridge for about two months using the 60/40 Coco coir tek. She discarded the old casing layers and dunked the mycelium w/ a little bit of H202, said it smelled fine, didn't seem rotten or anything, no mold anywhere. The new casings have been incubating for about a week and a half to two weeks, and theres no signs of mycelial growth, nothing peeking thorugh the top. How thick should the top layer be w/ coco, & are these casings done for or are they possibly taking so long because they sat in the fridge? They still smell fine. Any hope?

2 months in the fridge is a hell of a long time.
It might just be dead.
1 to 2 inches is the average casing depth.

It could be dead but certainly don't give up just yet. Mycelium's some hearty stuff--I've got faith. Peroxide, though probably necessary would slow it down a bit too. Good luck!
