spring amanitas
    #24014639 - 01/16/17 12:55 PM (7 years, 1 month ago)

I have heard people say that active amanitas grow in spring. Anyone ever found any active ones in spring? In the UK.

There are no Amanita species that contain psilocybin, if you want an Amanita that will probably make you sick and maybe feel a little drunk look up Amanita muscaria. It also is reported to taste good if parboiled, fried up and then eaten in small quanities. Maybe a bite or two, just enough so you dont get sick.

Also look up Amanita phalloids, or commonly known as the death cap. It contains amatoxins and eating one may kill someone.

I have taken the muscaria before. I know there are other ones like the muscaria. Ie. The panther cap. I just want to know if they appear in spring.

Normally appears in autumn. But it will depend on the climatic circumstances, so you could find it on spring.
