They are an active Psilocybe species, probably P. allenii. They just look a little funky shaped I guess because they grew out in that tight cluster. Nice finds!

Do you put any of your talks on YouTube? That would sure help the trip to Mill Valley from Oakland!
BTW I saw your talk on advanced mushroom ID at the SOMA camp. Really enjoyed it, thanks.
Is there any way you can post the slide with the identification links on it? Especially the one with the 'voting' feature -- I couldn't find that one.
