Good free music sources?

Been awhile since I have seen one of these threads. Anyways I have slowly been uploading a lot of random music to youtube and finally need some new stuff to dig through.
Going to find some groovy concerts from The Archive.org's live music archive for now.
But I would love to find another blog or site with a solid album collection.
Vinyl rips and FLAC's are my #1 choice but I can live with mp3's and CD rips.

Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

SoundCloud, Spotify, Pandora?
This is also a very cool site. Insert an artists and it prints a list of similar artists. http://www.music-map.com/
Similar idea is this site. Input your favourite three artists and it will print a single artist that combines their sounds. http://www.gnoosic.com/
And more exploration tools from Spotify https://artistexplorer.spotify.com/ Features live audio previews.

I should specify I am looking to download stuff, I get most of my streaming needs from youtube. Looking to expand my collection though

Legally or illegally?
Bandcamp is an excellent site to buy/download music in high quality.
And there's torrents. Public trackers, private trackers...

Legally preferred, been awhile since I torrented anything. That said most downloads are in a grey area anyways.
Plus I am just going to upload many of the songs/ albums to youtube where they will get monetized by their copyright holders most likely
