Who else wears timbs? They are fucking dope.
Discuss how awesome timbs are. I wear my timbs when I'm chilling, tweaking, nodding, tripping, blazing, etc

Tie them shits up! Jk I don't lace my boots if I'm not working either they look hella fresh op. My boots rn I got at bobs on sale for 120$ . They're steel toe, electrically insulated and have great warmth/ankle support. Unfortunately they're covered in tar and printer ink. The tar does keep the laces nice and tight and provides an extra layer of water protection

Yeah I got a pair, but I only wear them at work.
It's funny because they're sposed to be stink resistant, and for the first 6 months or so they reeked like shit, but since then I haven't really smelled it.
Not sure if I will get the same pair or switch. I'm starting to get sore feet but they lasted me a year.

I have a pair like that but I only wore them once because they suck fucking ass, even with different insoles they're uncomfortable, the tongue rubs my shin, I had to buy them a couple sizes too large because they dont make them wide enough. they really are horrible

Hmm I will check and see if they have any at the boot store. That is a little steep, but maybe if they are gonna last 3 years instead of one it might be worth it.

Probably for the same reason people use to sag their pants. Apparently the more likely you are to lose your clothes if you were to run or they were to prevent you from running in the first place, the cooler you are.

Comfort. Shoes are different though I lace those no matter what I'm doing. If I just throw on my boots to go run a quick errand I ain't lacing them

If you want boots that are actually nice, get some Red Wings. Heritage is a good boot. They're real well made, they'll actually last a lifetime. LL bean is nice for winter and will also last a lifetime. Fugly, but who cares?

I never found steel toed boots to be to heavy, that's the allure of aluminum toed boots though, they are lighter. I avoid steel toes though, don't like them unless it's a job requirement, I would rather take the risk because im so edgy like that, or maybe just plain stupid, I still haven't figured that out yet.

This might sound bad, but the only people I have known to not tie their boots, were those who aspired to fit the label of "thug".
I don't understand how anyone walks in any shoe/boot with laces untied, I am much to quick to be slowed down by untied laces, if I want to relax and go out I often throw on an old pair of Van slip-ons in solid black.

Lighter, and much much softer.
Personally I like the extra weight. It is like having an extra sledgehammer on each foot in case you need to do some fine tuning on an object that is not cooperating.

No boot is going to last a lifetime if you're wearing it. That is an insane claim to make. They will last for the lifetime of the boot maybe, which varies depending on use, materials, and manufacturing quality.

I've heard of LL bean boots being passed down to grandkids. I wholeheartedly believe them. Of course you need to resole and service them sometimes. It's a lost art to look after your items rather than throw them away and buy new ones. LL bean also has lifetime warranty. If your boot ever wears out you can just get a new pair.
