Recovery after shaking Panaelous

I have a couple of strains of pans and the one on the right I shook before it was fully colonised about a week ago and I am not sure if it has recovered or is okay to use?
The one on the right I did not shake, but that is a different strain again.
Unfortunately I have lost so many trays due to cobweb and will put this down to trying to put the grains into trays too early and having them go bacterial (after I tip them upside down they smell worse than fresh shit and the mycelium appears to be struggling).

Is this what pans should look like after colonising the grain?
Thanks guys

I can't say that I'm an expert or anything, but I have colonized cob web numerous times in my adventures and that jar on the left looks like a cob web theme park. I have not grown that specific strain so I don't want to say anything to you conclusively, but I wouldn't open it until you get an ok from somebody in here that has history with the Pans. That thing looks like it is waiting to explode contam spores all over your house.

Pans or not if a colonized jar does not recover after 48ish hours its bacterial and should not be g2g or spawned with other jars. fruit in its on tray.
cobweb? come on bro.

Is panaeolus mycelium. Although it looks stressed and bacterial to me. Fuckin pans hate bacteria, and perform so poorly with it in their presence

Hey guys, Is there is any way you could point me in the direction of what a good pan jar should look at and also how much grain hydration you use? Cubes I normally boil up for ten minutes so the grains are wet and fluffy, but pans?

check out the panaelous thread. its 160+ pages but if you read the WHOLE things it will answer most your questions.
grain prep is grain prep, no matter what you are growing. all mushrooms need lots of water and food.

I see what you mean. It is a massive thread with no structure in it at all. Maybe there could be a collaborative effort into making a guide or ebook out of it in logical sections. That way thousands of people aren't reinventing the wheel every time they do a project?

That's good to know, I would have thrown that shit out so quick, the lids would have went with it. I guess that would make it pretty hard to tell if you had cob web or it was just pan myc. I've had PF tek jars that looked exactly like that which were contaminated.

I took one of the lids off and had a good smell, but it smelt just fine. I am thinking a heatwave may have killed the mycelium? Going to start again with agar plates. Thanks for your pointers.

What do you make of these plates? The first two pan plates are taken from a clone of a mushroom, while the third one is from a print.
Do they look okay or suspicious?
Cheers

these two look like the tomentose morphology of pan mycelium. i've seen this on a couple plates but never transferred any of it so i can't say how the growth will continue but i think i've seen other growers say that it shouldn't be problematic. the one on the right looks too disorganized to take any thing from but the one on the left looks like you could take some segments from between the 12:00 and 3:00 positions.
the mycelium on this plate is on the right track but it looks like it will take at least one or two more transfers before you will get the symmetrical uniformity that is indicative of a clean pan culture. concentrate on the areas where the curvature of the growth is cleanest and most advanced. when you get growth that is shaped like a perfect circle or oval you should have a clean culture.
