mixed up mushroom spores?

Okay so I realise that you guys may not be able to give me a 100 percent ID based on the lack of info but I figured that I should post about this anyway. Swim has bought 2 spore prints from a supplier. One is labelled psilocybe cubensis and the other is labelled pan cyan. But there is one thing that i find strange. The pan cyan sporeprint is 2-3 times bigger than the cubensis sporeprint. Could this be a mix up? Or is swim just lucky to have a huge pan cyan sporeprint? I would just like to hear some of your opinions. Cheers guys happy shrooming

"Sol"? Also I thought it was worth mentioning that when I grew the mycellium on a popcorn substrate, the mycellium was a greyish colour and had the texture of cotton balls. I later threw this away because I was under the impression that cubensis mycellium is white but ive been looking at picturpictures of pan cyan mycellium and I have noticed that it is quite grey in colour

I wonder if there are any identifying features of the spores that one could look at in the scope? Im guessing they probly look the same.

For the most part yes they'll all basically look the same. Some might be half retarded or dead when you look under a scope. But you won't be able to tell GT vs TC, just that you have cubensis spores. Some more "true" regional varieties that were collected in the wild will look different.

Caerulescens

Cyanescens

Baeocystis

Awsome photos Adden. Sorry to hijack your thread OP but I have to ask. The last pick. Are the empty looking spores...well empty. I have been viewing some old spore print material, like 16years and some old syring material from a friend and the syringe had all empty looking spores, I take bacteria got in and digested the intermals. So far the 16yo spores do look viable.
