Hey everyone, first time poster, but I've been reading the forums for a few months trying to learn about the art of growing mushrooms. I purchased a grow and inoculated a few jars on a trial basis. however the overall growth in my jars are pretty odd. the picture below as you can see isn't really bright white... I attributed this to inoculating straight in rather than to the sides, but i'm a bit nervous and would hope someone could eyeball it for me before I toss it!
thank you in advance!
Edit! inoculated in a glove box and used sponsored sites, I flamed the needle a lot also but the nerves!

Bacterial stressed mycelium on the middle-right. On the left is it actually that green, or is it just the pic quality? I'd also recommend colonizing without any foil that will trap moisture between it and the lid, and can potentially ruin your dry verm layers integrity. The foil is meant to keep water from getting into the holes during the PC cycle, and removed at inoc.
If you flamed til red hot, chances are the bacteria is from the syringe. I know the feels. I got some hella bacterial syringes on my end too. Gotta get into agar to clean that shit up

I believe the green coloring is actually from the lighting and the phones flash, and thank you for the heads up on the bacterial I did flame red! So Lesson learned I will also look a bit more in to agar and I'll move away from the foil too! Thank you your awesome!
