Rye berries, Bc it cost 100$ for 100 lbs and I can get it locally. Also I hate removing sunflower seeds from WBS.

Dang, that's kinda expensive. Rye berries are 35 for 50 pounds here, but oats are under 20 for 50 pounds.

Lately I've been using WBS because I can get 5 pound bags for $1.59 at the grocery store next to the place I work. Why do you remove the sunflower seeds?

holy shit dude. thats ridiculous. 100 lbs of millet cost me $28. you should consider switching. rye really doesn't offer superpowers or anything more than other grains. all grains pretty much work the same for spawn. ive done rye, millet, wbs, wheat, and oats. it really doesn't matter what you choose, at all. just get the cheapest one you can find. def don't pay $1/pound, thou. thats a ripoff price.

you don't have to do that at all. somebody said to do it like 10 years ago, so people just keep doing it. they work fine.

Rye. It's a very easy grain, colonises fast

all grains colonize at the same speed. colonization speed is more dependent on the culture than the grain.

the sunflower seeds are just ugly. so I(people) take them out. but they work just fine.
this jar is nothing but sunflower seeds, sticks, and shit that i usually throw out when prepping wbs.

colonized kinda slowly but should be pinning any day now.
