Culture Questions

Hey good people. I have 3 agar plates. They are the second transfer from GT mulitispore. I'm trying to decide which community is the healthiest so I can practice fungal eugenics. If you could grant me the benefits of your experience I would be most appreciative.
A.

B. This one appears to be the best imo

C. Weak growth and near a contaminant
Which culture do you think is the best and how many sectors do you believe they contain. A couple dozen or more? That is at least what my virgin eyes perceive.

On plate 1 I would take from around 10 o'clock
Plate 2 looks good and you can take from basically any sector that seems to be growing faster than the surrounding sector.
Plate 3 transfer from the opposite side of the contamination, so I would say anywhere from 12-2.

Thanks for the tips.

The bubbles solidified in the agar. I was experimenting with additives and the mix got a bit chunky as you can see on slide C.

Id transfer from 10 oclock also on #1. or maybe 3 o clock. up to you.
the 2nd plate looks nice. id reserve a cut but use the plate for some BI to get you some quickly colonized jars so you can get some clones quickly if yah want.
i have no clue about sectors. im still focusing on cleaning up my cultures.

Those look great! I see similar growth on DFA. What's that agar recipe?

Look for rizomorphic growth the stuff that is more string like and reaching. C at 12-1:00 looks nice. Do a few to agar. And jars as well.

That's quite the blend. I don't like PDA but the additives you've used sure made a nice medium. Anyway, all of those cultures are nice and uniform so you could transfer from anywhere. Still tons of sectors in those. Nice work, keep it up!

Thanks, man. I switched up the medium today. Potato dextrose, LME, gypsum, and honey. Makin gravy!

Hey so since I already made a post I have another question about my mono. I'm trying to figure out if If what I'm seeing is grey cobweb or if i'm seeing the substrate through fuzzy Mycelium.
Overview:

This must be cobweb right?

Also should I dab heavy condensation?

That thick bright white growth is troubling. I don't want to say it's mold but it sure has a distinct morphology if it's cube mycelium.
